A certain other site which I refuse to advertise is at it again with a resultant loss of another excellent candid photographer. The good news is that we can still see their shots here
Nice photographer..but a mysterious message which can only mean something to your regular followers. I see you are 'following' lots of other blogs - will have to check some out. I sometimes find other people's blog interesting.
Hi Helen, this refers to a site which many of us belonged to which has a heavy handedness when it comes to moderating photographs and have suspended a number of photographers in the past. They have recently also suspended the photographer linked to above, saying his photographs were offensive.
Thanks for the note. I had checked the 'here' link before and did not see any offensive photos by that photographer. I found many of them intriguing. I see many photos on Facebook which some people may find offensive.
Thanks for the link to MrCandid's Flickr stream Imp! (definitely another case of heavy-handed-knee-jerkiness on the part of 'the other place', the perceived problem is always in the eye of the beholder.....the question is, 'who do you listen to?......I think some of us know!)
I started this blog so that I could post a photograph every day and talk about my day. This was a project I started elsewhere. The added versatility of a blog means that my practice is evolving. The top image on a day's entry is the picture I consider to be my image of the day but I am enjoying being able to post more than one.
Now in 2010, I am not so bothered about posting every day if I don't have a picture but I would like to keep the practice up most days.
A sunny day here today. I hope it's sunny for Mr Candid too :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Helen, the photos which were considered contentious are on there on the link and no, I didn't find any of them in the least offensive either.
ReplyDeleteNice to see someone else get the rain!
ReplyDeleteGot a bit stormy in Edinburgh for a while but calm has been restored!
