Here is a detail of writing on a bathroom wall. I was asked to take some photos of what was there before it was papered over. This has been covered since the 70s and it quite interesting to see the scrawls and lines written to plan whatever they did with the bathroom then.

It's been a nice day though nothing exciting to report. Tomorrow I'll have a visitor staying so that'll be nice.

ReplyDeleteWall paper was wonderful. Well not the paper itself because that could be a real pain but the stuff underneath could be fascinating. Over the years I have found all sorts of interesting scribblings from years previous.
ReplyDeleteOur modern vinyl paints will leave a huge gap in social history.
I love stripped walls, especially 'distressed' ones.....but maybe I'm just lazy! Nearly the weekend....yippeee!
